Calle Ferran. Hotel Adagio is located at number 21 Calle Ferran in Barcelona.

Parallel to the sea and located in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, this nineteenth-century shopping street, built in the last absolutist period of Fernado VII, has become one of the most emblematic and tourist attractions in the city. Since 1910 it has linked La Rambla with Plaça Sant Jaume after a project by the Barcelona City Council during the 1820-23 legislature carried out by the architect Josep Mas i Vila, which sought to link La Rambla with the Parc de la Ciutadella.

This building from the mid-19th century was renovated in 1905 by the architect Joan Alsina i Arús, earning it the best establishment award in the Barcelona City Hall's annual building competition.

(Barcelona, 1872 - ibídem, 1911) was a Spanish modernist architect.

He was the head of the Municipal Section of Parks and Gardens of the Barcelona City Council.

He presented aquarium building projects at the Barcelona Fine Arts Exhibition of 1896; he designed some works in Barcelona, such as the Casa Oller (1901; plaza de Tetuan, 9), carried out in collaboration with Salvador Oller, or the Casa Pince (1905; Ferran), which was awarded by the Barcelona City Council, and was also dedicated to industrial architecture, with examples such as the Can Trinxet factory (1905; Santa Eulàlia, 212, l'Hospitalet de Llobregat).
In 1905 he made the plans for the Palau Güell (1885-1889; Nou de la Rambla, 3-5) for the exhibition held in Paris on the work of the architect Antoni Gaudí. He also collaborated with Lluís Doménech i Montasner in directing the works of the Gran Hotel in Palma de Mallorca.
